CHRISTMAS: SHARE WITH THE OTHERS.

Christmas Time is the moment of the year when we remember to share with the others.
But this feeling should last for the rest of the year.
You never know when you are going to need the others.

Sometimes, the people who have less are those who share more.
So, we don't need to have money to share, we just have to be willing to do it.

Have a watch at these two videos, two social experiments and write a comment to your teacher with three or four phrases that you understand as important which the people on the video say. And please, tell us what do you think of this. You can do it writing a comment or sending an email by Gmail.

3rd & 4th ESO: TALES AND... IRREGULAR VERBS!!!

"Oh dear! we've just arrived to school and we're back on the irregular verbs!".

This is what my students in 4th of ESO thought when they knew that they had an exam to revise 101 irregular verbs.

But before the exam, we did a funny practice with a tale. As usual, last wednesday we split the groups in two and Paqui's students tried to tell a tale by telling a sentence using an irregular verbs they drew from a mystery envelope. My students did the same. Mamen did so with her own group. Paqui's students invented some kind of "football story", Mamen's group created a romantic love story and my students some kind of "love and jealous story". They may not make sense in some parts, but it's an opportunity to have a laugh.

But... unfortunately the bell rang and we left the three stories unfinished. Can you help us?

3rd & 4th ESO: DEIRDRE OF THE SORROWS - AN IRISH LOVE STORY

One of the best-known love Irish legends is the story of Deirdre.

Before Deirdre, daughter of the bard Phelim, was born a druid foretold that the girl would grow to be so beautiful that could provoke wars over her and many would die because of her.

Conor MacNess, king of Ulster, said: “I will never sacrifice this innocent child. Deirdre will live alone in the forest, and when she is older I will marry her and make her my wife”. He put her under the care of Lavercham, his old nurse, and visited her from time to time, to see the first part of the prophecy, at least, fulfilled. Deirdre was indeed stunningly beautiful.
